Stamped
concrete
Stamped concrete is concrete that is patterned to authentically resemble slate, stone, brick, tile, and even wood. This is a system used in new construction. The concrete is poured, colored, and stamped at the site.
Application
Art BETON works with concrete type B25 with added polypropylene monofilament fibrous reinforcement FORTA Econo-Mono (USA). Depending on the intended use, the concrete floor could have various thickness, and could be reinforced with wire mesh. The concrete is poured, leveled and smoothed. Afterwards, Color Hardener is applied to the whole surface – this is the basic color that becomes part of the concrete itself. The added Color Hardener increases the surface’s density, strength and durability. Prior to stamping, to the surface is applied a Release Agent. The Release Agent keeps the stamp tools from pulling up concrete and imparts another color shade to the work. It also gives the patina texture effect. The concrete is stamped with the desired pattern and allowed to dry completely and gain strength. Finally, the surface is cleaned and sealed. The sealer protects the concrete against penetration of water, oil and dirt staining, while enriching the final color (by amplifying the colors in the hardener and release agent).
As continuously reinforced concrete slab, your Art BETON will not sink or settle, unlike natural materials laid on potentially moving sub-base which may also be prone to freeze-thaw stresses. It will not deteriorate to grow grass and weeds. The sealed surface is durable enought for intensive pedestrian and motor-vehicle traffic.
Art BETON is perfect for: · Pedestrian sidewalks · Park alleys · Backyard patios · Swimming pool decks · Parking lots · Driveways · Outdoor areas · Interior floors – homes, restaurants, stores, galleries, etc. Benefits:
